Training

Holy cow is it hot!!  I am thankful for my clients who are putting up with the summer heat and staying dedicated to getting a workout in.  We are doing most of this outside, which is just brutal at the moment.  Earlier in the morning it's not too bad yet, and I do have fans, but STILL!  I love it though because sweat just feels so good sometimes...right???  So I am in the process of rounding up my schedule for the fall and may have a little time to squeeze a couple more clients in, locally of course.  If you're interested, let me know.  It will be first come first serve basis.  I do not have much availability since I am full time mommy as well, but I love training and am looking forward to cranking it up a little as the weather gets better this fall.  Contact me either her on the blog or you can email me, meganhulling@gmail.com  for more information.

Workin' it.

The road sure is getting steamy...Summer in Florida is just so brutal!!  I think I will be hitting up the YMCA a little more often.  Thankfully, it's not so bad in the morning yet.  That is when I've been doing my running, or on our treadmill.  I've recently started taking some fantastic supplements....they are helping with my energy levels and digestion post baby.  I hope to gain my strength back as well little by little.  My workouts are already becoming more intense and I am beginning to recover quicker...Probably thanks to my amino acid supplement.  It's amazing how our bodies can function and perform when they are well taken care of and our nutrients are maximized.  I'm beginning a journey with Advocare, and I am excited about it.  I have a few clients willing to try the 24 Day Challenge, which is one of our programs.  I hope they see incredible results, just as Nick (my husband) did, and I hope to when I take the plunge.  I am so encouraged when I see friends, family, or clients FEELING good!  Looking good is another story, feeling good is part of looking good.  Treat your body like the amazing gift that it is and put it to work!!  That's my advice for the day.
Monday: Ran 4.8 mi
Tuesday: Lifted at the Y (Smith Machine squats, walking lunges, push ups, rows, shoulder press, squat/cleans, tricep dips)   That was my workout circuit..not necessarily in that order and I can't remember how much weight but you get the idea...I was sore.
Wednesday: Ran 5.8
Thursday: Rest
Friday: 3.5 mi walk with the stroller mamas.

24 DAY CHALLENGERS

Hubby's stats: Finished 24 DC down 8 lb, dropped a belt loop hole, better digestion, more energy and productivity at work, continued on Arginine Extreme pre workout and Spark pre-work.  LOL.  Workouts are stronger and more consistent.

Friend on 24 DC: Feeling fantastic, "loving the structure", more energy, sleeping great...only on day 5, will update as well.
Friend starting this weekend: excited...bundle in hand....grocery shopping this weekend.  Ready to get her post baby weight off.  Amen Sista!!

Hey June.

June heat + 6 miles of pavement pounding = iwishyoucouldseehowredmyfaceisrightnow.
Have fun deciphering that one.
Thinking of doing the half marathon at Ft. Desoto on Halloween weekend this year...it involves running, the beach, and COSTUMES!! Who's in?

A throwback photo from our engagement...can't believe we got engaged almost 5 years ago...crazy.

Hello Saturday.

Definitely feeling the side effects of the spaghetti and meatballs and cabernet on our date night last night...HOWEVER...I was SO HUNGRY last night that I think I burned them off before I even got up this morning because I miraculously was down a pound.  Funny how that works sometimes isn't it?  I can proudly say my hubby is doing so well adhering to his 24 day challenge.  It's looking like he has already lost between 6-7 pounds and he is only on day eight!!  He did not partake in the spaghetti and meatball fiasco, for those of you who are wondering.  I will keep you up to date on his results. Can't wait for you all who are up for the challenge to get some amazing results...(you will remain nameless for now...you know who you are...).  So, I love saturdays because hubby is home, which means mama can go meet up with a gal pal for a run!  Today I ran with Corrie (aka Flo Jo) on one of her "off week training days."  This basically means we only did 5-6 mi because she's "recovering" from her 25k last weekend.  What a baller that one is.  It was a tad on the humid/hilly side but I survived and am better for it!  Thanks to my gal pals who push me and encourage me to stay fit as well. This whole running thing is fun, I am just hoping it doesn't lead me into any more injuries that I haven't already had to deal with!  I will never be a marathon runner, put it that way.  But perhaps a decent short/mid distancer?  If you could accomplish any fitness/athletic related goal (even the seemingly insurmountable ones) what would it be??!?  Please share.  Oh and thank you for the recipes so far, ladies.  I made the thai peanut chicken breasts in the crockpot this week and it was outstanding!!  It even fit into the nutritional program hubby is on.  Woop! Win win.  Have a great weekend.
Peace,
Meg

Hump Day

Well...I must say I was dragging BIG TIME today.  Had a fabulous walk with my pal, about 3.5 mi.  Squats holding Wyatt (18 lbs), and my shoulders are feeling the burn after oodles of laundry :)  I completely understand now how my clients who are moms feel.  Literally- the workout must  be incorporated ALL DAY LONG!  That is exhausting sometimes.  However, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  PHIL 4:13.  One of those days where I need to have this repeating in my head over and over....Wyatt's reflux and spit up is just CONSTANT!  It seems to be improving since he's been back on his medicine but it wears on this mama's heart! (and unfortunately all over my clothes...).  He is super close to crawling and thus his various foods being barfed all over my carpets.  Super fun!!  Kiddos are the best though, I must say.  The life of a stay at home mom/wellness coach (that's what I'm going to call myself anyways) is a blessed life.  SO just a fun fact for the few of you who actually are reading this blog, I made chicken breasts in the crockpot last week and they were DELISH!!  Nick was very skeptical because he is Mr. Chickenbreastistooleanforthecrockpot guy.  But he was wrong.  Such a cheap and easy way to have lean protein on hand and to cook in bulk when grilling and baking gets bland.  Throw in a can of pineapples or a jar of salsa and SHAZAM!  So I leave you with a few questions...
Who's got a good crockpot chicken breast recipe?
What's your favorite quick exercise or workout tip?
Best thing that's happened to you today?

Peace ya'll.

24 day challenge

So Nick started his 24 day challenge this week and it seems to be going very well so far, he is making Wyatt and me very proud!! I have been using some of the same products and modifying the challenge a bit since I am still breastfeeding. I am finally feeling leaner and like my old self again! I have two clients beginning their challenges soon and I am SO excited for them! Being a mommy requires so much energy and I am looking forward to feeling my absolute best through this process. My goal...to weigh less going into my next pregnancy (whenever that may be) than I did before the first! Hope everybody is having a great week and had a Happy Mother's Day. My workout today consisted of a nice long walk/jog with my buddy in the BOB, and some light yoga (which Wyatt thinks is hilarious), and a few push ups... The and holding my big boy as MUCH AS I WANT!! I do not and will not feel guilty about holding my baby! Soon enough he will be too big or won't want me to hold him anymore so leave me alone! Hahaha. That's my soap box for the day.
Peace y'all.
